Rob de Vries (1963) studied at the Amsterdamse Grafische School, where he graduated in 1984. He worked as DTP-operator and designer for various companies. In 2002 he started his own one-man design company. Years of practice in the graphic world had rekindled the desire to start drawing and painting again. A period of intensive study followed. Advanced drawing techniques and a education in realistic painting and 17th century painting techniques from the painter Cas Waterman. He is drawing and painting commissioned portraits for 15 years now. In between the commissions he is working on his own paintings. You'll find his work is in private collections worldwide.
